The thoughts behind the painting:
This painting reflects on the historical and ongoing oppression of women - silenced, devalued, betrayed, and abused both by men and by women. It recalls the persecution of women with knowledge and talent, who in earlier times were tortured and burned, and draws parallels to the present, where women’s truths and inner power are still often suppressed.
Despite centuries of abuse and silencing, the work insists on resilience. The spark of life, creativity, and truth cannot be extinguished. 
The painting highlights the enduring power of women to resist, to speak, and to shape their own lives. It is a call to acknowledge and honor this strength, insisting that the light of women - individually and collectively - remains unbroken. So, - never underestimate the power of a woman!
