The thoughts behind the painting:
This painting reflects a personal journey of reclaiming voice, body, and feminine identity.
The kneeling figure expresses gratitude as a conscious act; not only for life, but for the return to one’s own inner truth. The rising points from the mouth, together with the flowing blue tones, symbolize the regained ability to speak, to communicate, and to give expression to what once remained unspoken.
The lilies represent rebirth and divine femininity. Their radiant centers mirror the soul: sensitive, marked by experience, yet never lost.
They hold the quiet knowledge that even after deep wounds, renewal is possible.
The strong presence of red grounds the figure in the earth, emphasizing the importance of rooting oneself in the natural order as a foundation for healing and expression. The subtle references to blue and red also echo traditional representations of the sacred feminine.
In the lower corners, two contrasting flows appear: silver on the left, symbolizing purity and the feminine principle; gold on the right, representing strength and the masculine.
Together, they form a balanced dialogue within the composition. This work speaks of gratitude not as innocence, but as awareness. A conscious return to one’s own voice, one’s own body, and one’s own feminine power.
